My Approach
I specialize in collaborative treatment for people who are facing depression, anxiety, infertility, or are struggling with the after effects of trauma. I work from a client-centered perspective and have extensive training in Somatic Experiencing. I hold a certificate as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. We all have the power to heal ourselves. My job is to help facilitate your healing process.
Experience
Before beginning my private practice, I worked at the Montrose Center where my work focused on helping clients with mood and anxiety disorders, traumatic histories, chronic illnesses, heightened irritability and anger, and those going through life transitions. During graduate school, I completed my year-long practicum at the Women’s Home, where I provided individual and group therapy to women struggling with personality disorders, addiction, and homelessness.
Education
I earned my Master’s of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston and my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated with High Honors and Special Honors in Psychology.
